U-13 Potomac Red
WAGS

The Potomac Red participates in the Washington Area Girls Soccer League.  The players are born between August 1, 1998 and July 31, 1999.  The girls on the team work hard, have fun and play very well together under the guidance of their outstanding coach Nancy Rohrman.

Nancy Rohrman’s (Kramarz) resume as a player and a coach is nothing short of amazing. As a player, Nancy was an accomplished defender at the University of Hartford, where she started every game during her career, was named All-Conference, All-Region, and led her team to 4 straight NCAA Tournament appearances. As a captain her senior year, she led the Hawks to the Final Four, and finished her career as one of the most decorated players in Hawks history. In 2004 she was named to the University of Hartford Athletic Hall of Fame, becoming only the 3rd Hartford women’s soccer player to be so honored. After her college career Nancy’s playing career saw her participate in the World University Games as a member of the Women’s National Team, where she was a player from 1992-94. As a mainstay on the U.S. Amateur Team for over 4 years, she captained the North team in 4 U.S. Olympic Festivals, while bringing home the gold medal in 1994. On the club side, she led S.A. United from Northern Virginia win 3 straight National Championships from 1996-1998. Nancy was recently honored by the Ohio North Soccer Association as the 1st female player to be inducted in their Hall of Fame. She most recently has played with the MYSC Lady Blues in the WPSL and was named Conference Player of the Year in 2008 at age 37, while leading the team to National Championships in their very first year of competition.

As a coach, Nancy has had unprecedented success while working with the Bethesda Soccer Club (MD) as well as with MYSC (WI). With Bethesda SC, she led the Bethesda Fury to 8 straight State Championships and 3 Regional Championships. The Fury won the USYSA National Championship in 2000 in Indianapolis, and were National Runner-Up in 2001. She also helped the Bethesda Eclipse to a trip to the National Championships in 2002. Nancy has helped numerous female soccer players reach their goals of playing on State, Regional, and Youth National teams, and has had an immeasurable positive impact on many female youth players.

Potomac Red is always interested in adding strong field players and goal keepers with a love of soccer, great skills and motivation.  We train on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Potomac/Rockville area.
