 Jeff Rohrman, Technical Director

During Rohrman’s career at Wisconsin he produced 2 MLS draft picks in Nick Van Sicklen (DC United #1 pick 2004) and Aaron Hohlbein (KC Wizards 2007). In addition, Wisconsin produced 17 All-Big honorees, 54 Academic All-Big Ten honorees, 11 Freshman All-Big Ten, 1 All-American (first in 10 years), 48-33-5 non-conference record, and 7 College Soccer News’ Top 100 Freshman.

As a coach, Jeff Rohrman has been an integral part of two nationally competitive soccer programs in his career. As an assistant at the University of Maryland from 1995-2001, Jeff helped lead the program to new heights when it won the ACC Championship in 1996, and reach the NCAA College Cup in 1998.

A number of players from the Maryland squads during Rohrman’s tenure went on to play professionally, as well as represent the U.S. National Team. Taylor Twellman, Dan Califf, Leo Cullen, Sumed Ibraham, Scott Buete, Nick Downing, Judah Cooks, RT Moore, Randy Merkel, Phillip Salyer, Steve Armas, Keith Beach, Clarence Goodson, Jason Bent, as well as goalkeepers Andy Kirk and Russell Payne all went on the play in Major League Soccer. Twellman, Goodson and Califf have all represented the U.S. National Team in recent years.

After accepting the challenge to revitalize the University of Wisconsin men’s soccer program in 2002, Rohrman’s tenure at Wisconsin was filled with excitement and energy as the program once again reached heights that it hadn’t seen in many years. Finishing 2nd in the Big Ten 3 times, giving Wisconsin it’s first national ranking in 6 years, and also registering it’s first Big Ten Tournament win in 5 years, the program re-emerged as a nationally competitive program. With consistent wins over nationally ranked opponents the program got a jump start to where it had been in the early 90s.
