POTOMAC COUGARS FC (rising to U-17)  - an NCSL travel team based in Montgomery County MD, will be holding open tryouts for dedicated and committed players who are looking to advance their soccer skills.

 

The cougars are professionally coached and trained by Brian Wall who has coached at the Division 1 collegiate level including positions at Mount Saint Mary’s University and currently at Hood College. In addition, Brian has worked with the Maryland Olympic Development Program and as the Boys Varsity Coach at Damascus High School.

 

Brian currently holds various coaching badges, including a NSCAA National Coaching license. Along with his extensive coaching experience at various levels, Brian continues to design and implement player development programs for local youth soccer teams in the Baltimore / Washington Metro Region.

 

The Cougars FC are a member of the Potomac Soccer Association which is ranked as one of the 20 best clubs in the country. The team participates annually in the Potomac Memorial Tournament which is one of the top national tournaments and draws a significant number of college coaches seeking to recruit players for their schools. The Cougars FC offer a year round program including training sessions through out the summer, participation in futsol league and indoor soccer during the winter, the NCSL in the spring, and sits out the fall NCSL season so that players can concentrate on their high school seasons. During the spring, practices have traditionally been held twice a week on the Falls Road fields (intersection of I-270 and Falls Road).
