PSA Announces Partnership with SoccerDream - 1st Virtual Reality Soccer Training

POTOMAC, MARYLAND – May 24, 2018 - The Potomac Soccer Association (“PSA”) and SoccerDream announce that they are partnering to give all players with Potomac Soccer access to the first Virtual Reality Soccer Training platform that will improve and track soccer game intelligence and bring players the opportunity to learn the same curriculum as those seen in the world’s top clubs and academies.

Potomac Soccer realizes that the best football players are those that have developed a high game intelligence according to most top coaches. Throughout the world, those qualities are commonly described as outstanding perception, anticipation and decision-making skills, however, these are traits are very challenging to teach as it requires a very exclusive and specialized knowledge and there has been no easy way to track this progress.

The leadership at PSA is keenly aware of this soccer intelligence and it is their vision to develop players with good tactical awareness, positional sense, game intelligence, and the ability to make smart soccer decisions.  As PSA has been searching for ways to help further enhance game intelligence training throughout the organization, we are very excited to announce the SoccerDream platform as the solution.

Utilizing the SoccerDream platform is like playing a video game. The player puts on the VR headset and joins a virtual soccer training session where she or he can play the game as a member of their club, interacting fully with their teammates, receiving and passing the ball, moving, scoring and enjoying the constant feedback and full soccer intelligence tracking on a scorecard. This program is specifically designed and optimized to accelerate game intelligence learning in youth soccer.

Originating from Barcelona, Spain, SoccerDream arrives to the United States to partner with Potomac Soccer Association whose players will start training with the SoccerDream program in the fall 2018 season.

Laurie Lane, Executive Director adds, “We are extremely excited to welcome and introduce the SoccerDream staff at the 39th Annual Potomac Memorial Tournament this weekend at the tournament headquarters located at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Maryland and we want to invite everyone to come out and experience this amazing new technology first hand. We feel that this cutting-edge program will be crucial to helping our players achieve their soccer goals.”

Andreu Bartolí, co-founder and CEO of SoccerDream said, “The determination of Potomac Soccer Association to improve their player’s game intelligence and to boost their performance is awesome. We are delighted to be their strategic partner in this mission as we work together to accelerate their plan, define the overall process and to further their player’s evolution.”
