Local Organic Sports Drink Partners with PSA to Provide Players with Better-For-You Sports Drink

KRā Organic Sports Drink, (www.drinkkra.com), a new, USDA certified-organic sports drink, has partnered with Potomac Soccer Association in efforts to provide athletes a great-tasting, better-for-you hydration option with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

KRā, as the company is known, is made with USDA certified organic ingredients for a clean, natural flavor. The drink does not use any artificial or chemical ingredients often found in traditional sports drinks. KRā is the only independent sports drink that uses real ingredients for real flavor. KRā is real hydration for real athletes.

“KRā seems to have the optimal amount of carbohydrates, sugars and sodium necessary to replenish that which athletes typically lose during average activity,” says Dr. Christopher Hogrefe, M.D. Assistant Professor of Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. I find KRā to be an excellent product."

KRā was created with both the health of the body and community in mind. When the drink was launched, KRā also introduced KRā for Play, an initiative that provides resources and funding for disadvantaged youth sports programs.

“I created KRā because I wanted to bring a better-for-you, organic sports drink to the market that’s a healthier, tastier and no-junk rehydration option for all athletes,” says Sarah Hardgrove-Koleno, CEO and Founder of KRā and mom of four elite athlete kids. “We’re thrilled to have a partnership with the Potomac Soccer Association, it’s a fantastic organization and we can’t wait to work with the players, coaches, and families.”

Through  KRā for Play the company provides donations of sports equipment and funds for kids to stay in the game. In its first two KRā for Play events, KRā has donated thousands of dollars worth of equipment and organic sports drinks to deserving kids programs like After School Matters, Leveling the Playing Field and Shepherd Community Center. KRā will also deploy KRā for Play programming with the Potomac Soccer Association to support programs such as scholarships and fundraising.

KRā can be found in hundreds retailers across the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic including Whole Foods, Mariano’s, and online at amazon.com and drinkkra.com.
